Sweden has enacted one of the world’s strictest laws regarding the use of drones with cameras. Anyone who wishes to film with a drone must have a permit for video surveillance. This law is supposed to protect citizens’ privacy, but has many up in arms. Sweden’s leading drone company Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) said that up to 3,000 people could lose their jobs as a result of this law.
Currently, the only way to legally fly a camera drone in Sweden is to apply for an expensive permit. And even after you apply, there is no guarantee that you will receive it.
