TV Stations Embrace Drones

News Drone

In the old days (before drones), if you wanted an aerial shot from a news scene, you had to hire or own a full size helicopter to hover over the scene and get the footage for you. Today’s aerial news coverage is different. Many television stations are now hiring or contracting with pilots who have completed their Part 107 examinations and can fly small UAVs at the scene of breaking news. This is leading to better content and a more engaged viewer.
Check out this article which explains the ins and outs of drones in the news game.
