Speaking at a conference this fall, Uber head of products, Jeff Holden, said that Uber is planning to offer transportation via unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) some time in the foreseeable future. While drone technology is advancing rapidly, Holden admits that there are still many technical, legal and logistical hurdles that the company must overcome in order to make this vision a reality. This vision is not surprising considering Uber’s focus on self-driving cars.
