Flir, who has been making military grade thermal cameras for decades, just announced several new consumer thermal cameras at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this month. The $999.99 Flir Duo and $1,299.99 Flir Duo R work on any drone that supports GoPro devices. They both have a 1080p visual camera and the ability to synchronize the thermal images to the video. The difference is that the Flir Duo R has the ability to calibrate the temperature measurements so you can get a very accurate reading of the temperatures you are seeing. These devices will be very handy for construction workers, building inspectors, law enforcement and many other public servants.
