Many news reports have come to light about the possibility of a drone hitting an airplane. The questions remain about what would actually happen to the plane. Would it actually inflict significant damage to the airplane or not? Having experienced a few near misses, U.K. officials, the Civil Aviation Authority (the U.K.’s Federal Aviation Administration equivalent) recently started to study what would actually happen. There have been several conflicting reports about what would happen, but more testing is in order to figure out how much much we should actually be concerned.
