Drone maker, CyPhy Works is testing its drone delivery of medicine to a summer camp off the coast of Massachusetts. The delivery, done in conjunction with package carrier UPS, is an effort to dismiss safety concerns from government agencies like the Federal Aviation Administration. Current projections in the United States predict that the commercial drone industry could generate more than $82 billion for the U.S. economy and support up to 100,000 new jobs by 2025. Drone makers, retailers and package delivery companies are applying for waivers to operate out of the line of sight, using small tests to collect data on everything from air speed to operating in bad weather and the frequency of accidents.
